Fizzy Bead Jewellery

I have recently taken some images for a local jewellery maker, she sells her items on ebay and a folk art website, she is also hoping to set up her own website next year. She wanted some professional looking images, that showed off some of the pieces she has made. I used the studio and used 2 lights, one underneath the light-table and one above, I also used coloured gels that matched with some of the colours on the bracelets, I think they work quite well. She was very pleased with the images and is going to use them to promote herself. I am pleased with how this turned out.

Corporate Identity logo

I have decided to change my logo for myself as I didn't really like what I had already. This is what I had before:

And after playing around with different fonts and colours I have settled on this final design, I think it looks more professional than before.

Local Exhibition

The Queens park arts centre in Aylesbury showcases peoples art and work from around the county. I decided to email them to see whether I would be able to exhibit any of my work at some point in the future as they have many photographers display their work there. I received an email back from the marketing     co-ordinator that she is going to pass on my details and email to the person who is charge of organising the exhibitions and she will be in touch shortly. so fingers crossed I will hear back at some point.

Youyou rock photographer

In October I found a company called Youyou mentoring who specialise in getting young people into imaginitive projects with inspirational mentors. I applied to take part in a project to be mentored  by rock music photographer Scarlet Page, the workshop included building confidence skills, setting up studio lighting and then photographing the band The Magic Numbers. Unfortunately I didn't hear back from the company which was a shame as it would have been very interesting to take part in.

Competition entry

I entered the Snap alley competition on 15th October, the competition was to enter a black and white image into a certain category either portrait, landscape etc. I decided to enter this image as I like the lighting and the composition of the hands.
